Victoria Cross
Ms. Cross has studied creative movement and dance extensively. In 1971 she received a BS in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin.
Following that, she began performing and offering workshops throughout the United States. Victoria Cross developed and directed the highly regarded Art with Elders Program in Santa Fe, NM and participated in the New Mexico Artist-in-the Schools Program. Wherever she teaches and performs-at shopping malls, hospitals, libraries, outdoor festivals, theatres, rehabilitation centers-Ms. Cross has elicited remarkable responses from her audiences.
The work of Victoria Cross has been supported with funds from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New Mexico State Arts Division, the Santa Fe Council for the Arts and other granting organizations and individuals.
Since 1996, she has been concentrating her work within the state of New Mexico as a teacher and artist in public and private schools. In 2011, Victoria received licenses in Elementary and Special Education with Endorsement in Visual Arts and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
For the past three summers, she has had the great fortune to work as a staff member of Santa Fe's Golden Acorns Summer Camp of Living Arts and Culture.
